Upcoming Changes in Voting Procedure & Locations for the June Primary Election

In February, the Shelby County Commission approved the use of a new electronic voting sign-in procedure as well as funding for the hardware and software required for the new system's operation. Judge Jim Fuhrmeister said that electronic voting sign-in was piloted back in 2016, with good results. Polling locations were also approved at this meeting, reducing the number of polling locations in Shelby County from 45 to 43.
